A few finishes to show you

Greetings, everyone, I hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend.  Thanksgiving here was nice and quiet.  No shopping was done...I avoid malls and big box stores like the plague!  Online shopping, though, that's quite another story ... Here is our Thanksgiving table, with Evan's girlfriend, Evan, and my Mother.
I finally managed to frame a sampler...hooray!  Here is Isobell Stuart 1762 from The Essamplaire.  Aged by me, and framed in a beautiful frame that was just the right size and the perfect frame for it, and I bought it at Goodwill for $20.00!  Can you believe that?  I have discovered that Goodwill is a great source for some nice frames in good sizes that were made to look antique-y and originally surrounded some tacky print.
I hung Isobell in place of AED German 1746, a sampler from Scarlet Letter.  It came down and became  another sampler bag, I still have to stitch the bias binding on, but if you are interested, send me an email Merry Wind Farm.  Price is $90 to include shipping.  +Sampler Bag is sold, thank you, Amy!!+
A close up of Adam and Eve.

This time I used the archival ink as recommended by Marly of Samplers and Santas to age it.  Wonderful stuff!  Thanks for the tip, Marly!

Here is a cute little pincushion and scissor keep that I made.  So sorry, can't remember the designer.  I have just been advised by a kind reader that the needlework is designed by Little House Needlework and the cushion by Empie and me.  Thanks, Linda!

And, I have done the finishing for my first Santa!

Still plugging away on Manifesto.  It is a relaxing stitch when you don't feel like concentrating, which is happening more and more :)

And one more finish, this beautiful wall pocket from Carmen Sutton of Cardan Antiques and Needlework
Smokey and Charlotte think all these pictures wore them out!!  Spoiled kitties have to have heated beds in a heated house!  What a life...Night, all!  Melinda

  7. You certainly do lovely work and it all looks vintage. Oh boy, your cats sure do have the life of Riley with a heated bed yet. Don't think you ever have to worry about one of your felines ever wanting to leave home.

  8. Amazing the amount of things you get done. The frame could not have been more perfect if you had it custom made. I still do not think that I could cut up a sampler to make pockets, even though they are stunning, I would be afraid that some how it would not turn out and I would just have a cut up sampler to show for it, I'm so glad that your brave as they are the best!!! I love the picture of your wall pocket I hope that the directions were easy to follow.
I heard my kittys complaining that they do not have a heating pad after seeing yours all snuggled up.
Hope your Christmas season is Merry and Bright!
