Hi, Myra, you are listed as no reply on my blog, so I hope that you read this. This recipe for home made dog food as recommended by my vet is as follows:
l lb ground turkey, I cook it with some water in a cast iron skillet.
Meanwhile, cook 1/2 cup rice
When turkey is cooked, do NOT drain, I just add 1/2 cup of frozen mixed veggies to it and let it simmer for a little bit. What is important in the veggie mix is carrots and green beans. I usually try to pick the corn out before I cook it, as the corn just goes in one end and out the other. Add rice and mix all together.
Bella loves it!

Happy New Year, dear friend!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the comment about the corn :) I remember my boys being the same way...lol!
Stay warm. The weather is very ugly (and white) in northern Ohio.
Hugs :)

Sadly, our Alaskan Malamute is allergic to rice. We had a vet who kept prescribing his 'Lamb and Rice' packaged food for Kody. His poop was like chocolate syrup ... YUK. We finally took our boy to a Holistic Vet and found out he was allergic to both. He now has Venison and Sweet Potatoes and is doing great. He has been a Blessing to us and worth every $$$.
ReplyDeleteLiving in So Cal's Mojave high desert is wonderful. 44 and sunny today. It does get down in the 20's at night.
Happy New Year with Peace & Blessings to ALL, Barb
Melinda your house looks beautiful decked out for Christmas. Just beautiful. My rott was allergic to food and ate sweet potato and salmon. I also cooked for him like you are.
