Manifesto

Manifesto is finally, after two whole years, stitched, framed, and hanging on the wall!  What an intense project this has been, but I have loved every minute of it.

I was lucky enough to find the beautiful frame way back when I first began stitching this at an antique store for $5.00.  I think it is perfect.

Sorry about the chandelier reflection.   There is so much detail, here are a few closeups.

And this is what I believe to have been the inspiration piece for The Scarlet Letter to create this pattern.  An 18th century needlework piece, I believe it sold at auction for close to $100,000.

It may be awhile before I attempt another large project such as this :)

  15. Oh my word, Melinda! I'm so proud of you not only for attempting this beauty but finishing down to the frame. What a motivation not to chicken out on Dutch Beauty later on. In comparison Dutch Beauty seems like a starter piece.
