Good evening, everybody,
A few weeks ago I finished M. Quertier 1799. I have a soft spot for the monochrome Quaker samplers. I have probably mentioned this previously, but I feel they are also very appropriate for my home, which was originally built by Quakers.
Many of you belong to Nicola'sScarlet Letter blog. I was lucky enough to win a give-away this month from Hannah. Look at the wonderful goodies that arrived in the mail today...Lakeside 40 count linen, Les Samplers Redwork book, beautiful silk thread, edging tape, and buttons, everything I need to stitch these beautiful samplers! Stitchers are so very generous.
Sorry for the blurry photos, you'd think I could take a decent picture by now :)
I am busy working on some things for a show in September. I will try and share some in a few days.
Have a nice evening!
Melinda

ReplyDeleteI love monochrome Quaker samplers. In fact, it was the Quaker sampler, Beatrix Potter ,that got me into blogging. Absolutely no one I knew had a passion for Quaker Samplers! So cool that Quakers built your home. The sampler is just lovely. What a nice win!
ReplyDeleteWonderful finish! I love the monochrome Quakers too.

I love your M. Quertier finish! How cool that your home was built by Quakers too. We feel a connection to Quakers for various reasons through our lives so I have a soft spot for Quaker designs as well. Lovely prize you received as well.

ReplyDeleteHi Melinda,
ReplyDeleteI have never seen a monochrome stitchery - how beautiful. I will have to look into this.
I love learning about the Quakers. Been to a couple Quaker villages over the years.
Congratulations on the wonderful winning.
